Periodontal Therapy
I employ precise solutions, including extraction, root planing, bone grafting, and gingivectomy/gingivoplasty, addressing various periodontal concerns. With a compassionate approach and customized care, I prioritize your patient’s well-being, promoting healthy gums.
Extractions: Targeted Dental Solutions
Teeth with advanced periodontal disease, complicated crown fractures or those causing pain and infection will need to be removed if no other treatments are available or elected. Extractions are an everyday occurrence of our practice and can be done with precision and efficiency to promote a healthier oral environment for our patients.
Bone Grafting and Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR):
I offer advanced periodontal solutions, including bone grafting and guided tissue regeneration (GTR). Such procedures are performed to save teeth in situations where diligent home care and follow-up can be performed.
Gingivectomy/Gingivoplasty:
Gingivectomy is performed to reduce pseudopocket formation, which leads to the accumulation of debris around teeth hastening the progression of periodontal disease. After gingivectomy, gingivoplasty is performed using specialized burs to contour the gum tissue around the crowns of the teeth to reestablish a healthy relationship.
Open and Closed Root Planning:
Not all teeth with moderately advanced periodontal disease require extraction! I offer closed and open root planing as an alternative to extraction when indicated.
